Int’l mobile phone fair held in Dhaka

The week-long First Dhaka International Mobile Phone Fair-2006 was jointly organized in Bhasani Novo Theatre by the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology, and the Bangladesh Mobile Phone Businessmen Association. The exhibition Science and Information and Communication Technology Minister Abdul Moyeen Khan inaugurated the fair at 4pm.

Over 100 mobile phone companies, including 28 multinational concerns, displayed their products at more than 80 stalls in the international exposition.

The world famous mobile phone companies including, Nokia, Siemens, Motorola, Philips, Samsung, Sagem and Divitel, took part in the fair. Local mobile phone operators Grameephone, Tleltalk, Citycell and Banglalink also took part in the exhibition.

The fair will remain opened for all the visitors from 10am to 8pm everyday.

Software of Hospital Management

Six students in final year from C.S.E department in Bangladesh Engineering University (Buet), named -- Ayesha, Samira, Shital, Sapna and Tonima have made new software of hospital management.

Their invented software can be able to perform all kinds of works from the settlement of accounts to the hospital management, patient management, admission problem in hospital and the information of bedding management perfectly. One patient can get information of empty bed. The information of all patients can be stored in this software. For example: the description of patient's disease, information of a patient admission date and time and also releasing time.

The inventors of this software think that it will be essential to solve bad situation of our medical sector in Bangladesh.
